LinkedIn Tips : CONTD.

More tips are followed continuing the previous post LinkedIn Tips : Start.

Tip #6 : For active Twitter users, don’t send all of your status updates from Twitter to LinkedIn. Change your settings on how your connections are notified when your status is updated, because too much of status updates may annoy your connections.

Tip #7 : Turn on Public Profile Settings in order for your Profile to appear in the member directory and to be found on search engines.

Tip #8 : To avoid redundancy (creating duplicate profile) register all your email addresses with LinkedIn, because you can't merge LinkedIn accounts.

LinkedIn Tips : Start : http://ping.fm/0CosS

LinkedIn Tips : Start

LinkedIn - No 1 Professional Networking site with more than 85 Million Members

Professionals all over the world now use LinkedIn as their major source of networking and getting connected. Therefore these tips might be helpful for those who use LinkedIn regularly. And more of these tips will follow...

Tip #1 : Some of us might not be well aware yet that LinkedIn has a blacklist. You send invitations and if 5 people say they don’t know you, you get blacklisted and then you require email address of the person you are sending invitations to. So make sure you know the people that you send invitations to.

Add-on to the above:

If you receive invitation from someone on LinkedIn, you will have the option to Accept, Archive, or say “I don’t know this user”. If you don’t know the person, you can select archive.

Tip #2 : Keep your profile always updated. People think just creating a profile will do good whereas that’s not the case.

Tip #3 : Use LinkedIn for Lead Generation. LinkedIn is the best place for lead generation either for recruitment or business leads. It works best in both ways.

Tip#4 : Utilize the best out of keywords that you use for your profile in LinkedIn. It helps your profile to reach most of the professionals while they search for people on LinkedIn

Tip #5 : Change your settings on how your connections are notified when you update your status. Because if you have too many updates sending to your connections and they find it annoying, people can hide your status updates and will never be seen again.
